Our repair and maintenance services are designed to support critical systems with a focus on effective, safe and precisely executed solutions.

Naval Group India has made strategic investments in critical systems of Kalvari class submarines. These investments spanning workshops, testing facilities, tools, training, and targeted French expertise support have proven successful in collaboration with the Indian Navy and Industry.

Our approach ensures cost-effective execution, delivered by a highly skilled, cross-trained, and agile workforce capable of rapid mobilisation. We bring deep expertise in maintaining platforms that operate in some of the world’s toughest environments and have an exceptional track record in completing high-consequence work.

Our comprehensive program management processes enable seamless integration of our efforts with the customer’s overall project scope, ensuring alignment and efficiency throughout. Our area of expertise includes maintenance routines, defect identification and repairs that can be bifurcated into 3 main sub-system’s as below but not limited to:

Combat system: This involves a holistic knowledge of the Combat System architecture and subsystems including, Command and Control System, Weapon Control System, Underwater Surveillance System, Navigation System, Air/Surface Detection, External Communication and Weapon Launching tubes. Activities include on-board preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and corrective tasks on various equipment such as Combat Management System (CMS) consoles and cabinets and workshop repairs on components such as screens, keyboards, joysticks, as well as repair of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). Having integrated testing platform facility of the CMS, our specialists carry out deep investigations and requalification of repaired items.

Electrical system: This includes maintenance of the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS), Starter Panels, Intercom systems, Battery Monitoring System (BMS), Electrical Control system of various subsystems such as masts and power distribution. This also involves on-board preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and corrective tasks on electrical systems, as well as repair within Naval Group India facilities for requalification of equipment using IPMS test bench, Starter Panel test bench, Remote Sensing Unit calibration test bench for battery monitoring.

Mechanical system: This covers a wide range of systems and equipment, including valves, multi-function masts (MFM), reducers, pressure bottles, weapon launching tubes hydraulics and other mechanical components. Naval Group India has also developed a strong MSME ecosystem to support maintenance and repair activities such as MFM repair capabilities established at H&H Precision, and an External Pressure test chamber set-up at CFF Fluid Control Ltd.
